This past Summer, we finally found the house! A semi-detach not too far from where we were but a larger space which we needed. Not going to lie but the Toronto housing market is bananas! It took atleast nine months to find anything decent in our price range that wasn't too far out from Toronto. We didn't want a bidding war, nor a lengthy move-in date and we weren't ready to put a large deposit and forfeit a house inpection in search of a home.
We finally found a house that suited our needs. We knew that some renos were needed, more cosmetic than anything else. One major area that needed improvement was the kitchen. However, we weren't ready to spend $20K on a complete gut job. After, a few sleepless nights pinning on Pinterest I told my husband I was ready to tackle the kitchen myself. Meaning I was prepared to paint the cabinets but he had to commit in changing the faucet and lighting. Done deal!
So, the painted cabinets are now finished and installed but I have to tackle the backplash this weekend. Follow on instagram@beautyparler你可以看到我瞥见一些DIY厨房thus far.
I really like the look of white upper cabinets and darker lower cabinets. Since, my oak wood cabinets were in pretty good condition this wasn't an issue when painting. Here are a few inspirational pins I used as reference for my kitchen.
Stay tuned for the results!
